We've had a lot of interest in no added sugar version of our products. We listened and created our Everyday Cocoa Whey in response. We recognized that not all athletes are in need of the additional carbs and sugars as endurance athletes.
Of course we started our development based on cocoa flavanols which are meant to provide an athletic advantage by utilizing our "patent pending" formulation. Cocoa is full of antioxidants and has been labeled a super-food for it's complex nutritional benefits.
As the name suggest Whey is the protein foundation for this product. We elected to use Whey Protein ISOLATES (WPI) as opposed to a cheaper Whey Protein Concentrate or a lessor quality source. Our WPI comes from a company that specializes in minimally processed products. This WPI is based on using a proprietary filtration process that isolates native proteins in a highly concentrated form. To accomplish this, they utilize an advanced filtration system that processes the incoming whey in a gentle fashion. Thus, protecting the protein structure from being destroyed. The characteristic properties of the protein isn't lost due to heat or acidity processing, thus maintaining the native amino acid profile. A clear advantage of cold processed WPI.
For a sweetener we added stevia, a plant-based zero-calorie sweetener. We took the Goldilocks approach. Not too much, nasty after-taste. Not too little, bland. Just right.
That is the base for all of our Everyday Cocoa Whey products. To this base we add additional Natural Flavoring agents to give each product their own unique and distinctive taste.
Double Cocoa: As the name suggest a delectable, rich, deep, velvety chocolaty taste.
Arctic Cocoa: Utilizing our secret ingredient from our Elite Endurance product-line, it's a natural plant- based flavor which further provides an added athletic benefit. It has a great minty punch overtone.
Cocoa Coffee: Mocha goodness. We included a dried coffee which we source from a company which has been providing teas and coffees since 1750. Now you can get the added caffeine to power through any work out or as a light afternoon pick me up.
